A new era for data privacy and performance
HubSpot has announced the launch of new data centres in Australia, marking a significant milestone for businesses that prioritise data security, compliance, and performance. As a HubSpot Solutions Partner, Integral is excited to leverage this development to offer enhanced data privacy and security benefits to our clients across Australia.
With the increasing focus on data sovereignty and regulatory compliance, having a dedicated data centre in Australia provides local businesses, government organisations and not-for-profits with greater control over where their data is stored and processed. This move solidifies HubSpot's commitment to delivering a seamless, high-performance experience while ensuring businesses can meet stringent local data protection standards.
Why this matters to Australian businesses
The new Australian data centre presents key advantages for businesses using HubSpot for their CRM and marketing automation needs:
Enhanced data security and compliance – Australian businesses can now store their data locally, ensuring alignment with data residency requirements and regulatory frameworks like the Australian Privacy Act.
Improved performance and speed – Proximity to the data centre means faster load times, reduced latency, and a more seamless experience when using HubSpot’s platform.
Greater flexibility and scalability – Companies, especially those operating in highly regulated industries, now have more options to tailor their data storage preferences to meet security and governance needs.
Stronger trust and assurance – With growing concerns over data breaches and cybersecurity risks, businesses can reassure customers that their data is stored within Australia’s jurisdiction under robust security protocols.

What’s next?
From February 4, 2025, HubSpot has started the process of notifying eligible customers about migrating their data to the new Australian data centre. The process is fully automated, occurs outside business hours, and involves minimal downtime. Existing clients will have the option to accept or opt-out of the migration. For new clients, they will be automatically assigned to a data centre based on their geographical location. For Australian businesses that means they will be directed to the Sydney Data Centre.
At Integral, we are ready to support our clients through this transition and ensure they maximise the benefits of HubSpot’s expanding global infrastructure. If you have any questions about how this impacts your business or how you can optimise your CRM strategy with local data hosting, reach out to our team.
